Who am I? I’m Lylah Korsu, copywriter and advertiser, pleased to meet you.
Instead of creating a traditional résumé, I chose to build a website — a space that better reflects how I think, create, and communicate ideas.
why should you hire me?
My work is rooted in authenticity. I observe real people, listen closely to their needs and emotions, and translate that into campaigns that feel human rather than manufactured. I approach every project as a storyteller first, leading with insight instead of gimmicks, and always centering the audience as the hero of the narrative.
In short, I create advertising that connects, resonates, and performs — without the “ick.” I don’t just build campaigns; I build experiences people can feel, remember, and respond to.
“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players,” — William Shakespeare, As You Like It
the hijacking of authenticity
Authenticity became performative when visibility became constant.
When every moment can be recorded, shared, and measured, “being real” stops being a private state and starts becoming a public strategy. People begin to curate authenticity the way they once curated aspiration — not by abandoning performance, but by refining it until it looks unintentional.
What once existed as lived experience is now filtered through the expectation of being seen, and in that shift, authenticity is no longer discovered — it is constructed.
I tackle the “fake authenticity” problem by grounding every campaign in real human behavior and specific detail, rather than empty trends or broad claims. Instead of relying on pre-packaged “relatable” language, I observe real moments—how people actually feel—and shape copy that reflects those nuanced truths. The goal is to write work that feels lived-in and precise, without ever slipping into performative “realness.”
About Me
After working in advertising at 22, I chose to step away and spend time exploring creativity outside of a traditional structure. That period helped me develop independence, deepen my thinking, and return to professional work with a clearer sense of purpose.
And I had my daughter.
the fool
In tarot, The Fool represents the beginning of a journey — not inexperience, but openness, curiosity, and the willingness to step into the unknown before certainty exists. I see my career through this lens. Rather than following a strictly linear path, I’ve explored different environments and ways of understanding people, each experience shaping how I communicate and tell stories today.
Like The Fool, I am comfortable beginning with curiosity, exploring possibilities, and turning observation into direction. That openness allows me to adapt voice, tone, and concept across brands while keeping the message human and relatable.
I worked as a screenwriter
I wrote screenplays for several advertising directors in my early twenties. None of the films progressed into reality.
Screenwriting taught me that attention is earned through story. Every scene must serve a purpose, every line must move something forward — the same discipline that drives strong creative advertising.
I approach agency work with a storyteller’s mindset: start with a clear idea, understand the audience emotionally, and build concepts people feel before they analyze. Screenwriting sharpened my sense of pacing, voice, and narrative tension, allowing me to turn brand messages into experiences that capture attention, create connection, and stay memorable long after the first impression.
I created a magazine
Jasper Online Magazine is a digital editorial publication that presents creative storytelling through a visually driven, art-forward lens — blending fashion, culture, identity, and conceptual imagery into a magazine-style experience.
Rather than functioning like traditional journalism, Jasper reads more like an online art magazine or editorial portfolio, where mood, aesthetics, and narrative atmosphere take priority over news reporting. The site features stylized editorial pieces and themed visual stories — titles such as “The Power Play,” “The Boys,” and “Embracing Divine Balance” suggest a focus on creative expression, symbolism, and contemporary cultural storytelling.
so, when I was an energy healer…
I was really good at it. Read my reviews.
I left energy healing when I realized the work and its social expectations were draining. I wanted a practice rooted in creation, presence, and intention rather than performance. That shift led me to Aurora Fragrance Studio — a space to explore scent, memory, and ritual on my own terms.
WHAT I’VE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS
What is My Next Adventure?
After stepping away from traditional agency work, I’ve honed my skills in narrative, observation, and brand voice through entrepreneurship, writing, and creative projects. Now, I’m ready to channel that accumulated perspective into campaigns that connect, engage, and sell. It’s about combining professional experience with fresh curiosity — approaching advertising not just as a job, but as a creative journey where insight, empathy, and story drive results.
